I am more than happy to have the government monitor bank transactions for
terrorist activities, and no, I did not say anything like that. In fact, I
have said on more than one occasion that the Feds have taken a look at my
bank account because my wife has a foreign name and she receives large sums
of money at odd intervals (which is the nature of being a real estate
agent). Now, I don't know 100% for sure that some specific person has looked
at that stuff, but when it take 10 days for my wife's check to clear, it's
obvious what is going on. Am I annoyed? Only to the extent that it delays
money coming to us.

Where I part ways with the Feds is this notion that they can use tools meant
to prevent terrorists attacking this country for something other than
fighting terrorism. Spitzer put himself in a bad position by wiring the
money in someone else's name, but in all honesty that's a pretty freaking
thin excuse for them to use to go after him. I am not down with the
government using anti-terrorism tools to bust people for mundane illegal
activity. Congress needs to close this loophole now.
