Great area of Europe, albeit a little more medieval which is a good thing in my opinion. He'll also be really close to Vienna (he'll start there!), Prague, and Budapest which are all awesome cities and he should add some time to see at least one. He doesn't have a thing to worry about especially since he'll be meeting people that know the area.
