A Blu-Ray set is going to be many, many years off, if it ever happens for
ST. None of the series were mastered in HD, so there is no benefit in
releasing them without remastering them. And seeing as how many years it
took them to remaster the Original Series, and the fact that after the
demise of HD-DVD they opted to not do an HD release of Season 2, even if
there were plans in the works for HD DS9 it would be a very long ways off.

As both a diehard Trekker and an A/V geek I've been following this story
closely :D

I've got the first four seasons on DVD... but now I'm torn. Continue
getting them (they've become the standard birthday/Christmas gift) or wait
for inevitable (but probably distant) announcement of a Blu-Ray set?

Decisions...
