believe it or not, I don't miss the "sweets" so much as the "really, i cant
have that?"s.

Corn is a killer.
Rice is a killer.

Before I was diagnosed, for about 3 years, I had rice with lunch (homemade
rice bowl), and rice with dinner (stirfry). and those times I didn't, I was
having tacos in corn tortillas.

I can still "have" rice. 1/2 cup of COOKED rice. Like that is a meal. LOL.

And of course, the Mountain Dew is missed.

But, truthfully, I am OK with it (although the fear is a little hard to
take.) Having a touch of OCD, I don't mind having the same thing at most
meals, so I have developed a nice routine and menu.
