believe it or not, I don't miss the "sweets" so much as the "really, i cant have that?"s.
Corn is a killer. Rice is a killer. Before I was diagnosed, for about 3 years, I had rice with lunch (homemade rice bowl), and rice with dinner (stirfry). and those times I didn't, I was having tacos in corn tortillas. I can still "have" rice. 1/2 cup of COOKED rice. Like that is a meal. LOL. And of course, the Mountain Dew is missed. But, truthfully, I am OK with it (although the fear is a little hard to take.) Having a touch of OCD, I don't mind having the same thing at most meals, so I have developed a nice routine and menu. On Thu, Sep 11, 2008 at 6:53 AM, Erika L.
