AHP gives you $10 off per month with the HoF code found on the right of
http://www.houseoffusion.com/
Altho it looks like their prices have gone up a lil' ($20) since I signed
up... they're still lower cost than most (if not all) of the other VPS
solutions that I've seen advertised. I've never really pursued dedicated
options because i don't really -need- that much machine, nor do I have the
funds to lay out for the software... so I'm not sure what dedicated
generally runs. Maybe you're just getting a smokin' deal?

Factor in the cost of not having to pay for an upgrade to CF8 (and 9... and
10...)?

I do the freebie ad-supported gmail. The ads don't particularly bother me,
and the spam filtering more than makes up for it (awesome spam filtering).
Since going to gmail (and then google for domains), I've not even opened a
mail client on my machine. Yeah, one day it might bite me in the ass when I
can't get online and need access to a particular email, but it has not as of
yet. Altho I'm pretty sure (like 99.9999%) that even with the free option
you can use POP and IMAP to get your mail in your favorite mail client.
I've been meaning to look into this just so I can have that local copy in
case I ever do need it.
