Yeah but I'm planning to be in the house for the next 20 yrs it's a good
investment.. but according to HGTV it's a good investment because buyers are
starting to look for this type of thing if you decide to sell.

My next door neighbor is going to do it. He doesn't have it set up yet, but
he has the plans worked out.

One of the things he is going to do that apparently isn't standard these
days is install a bank of batteries to store the electricity collected
during the day so he can power everything with solar at night.  It's still a
big capital investment, I think it takes 7 years to pay for itself.
