We're taught in basic and in the rules of land warfare that you can summarily kill them as spies and saboteurs. Obviously we aren't doing that. What we end up doing is basically treating them as de facto prisoners, although not like a POW in some respects.
We must be considerate of their religion, must provide food, shelter and after caring for our own troops medical care.
