Brilliant effects - absolutely brilliant.  I still have trouble decided
whether I like these or those in "Firefly" more but there's no question that
BSG has anything else beaten in sheer scale.

But honestly I thought most of the ending was crap, honestly.  All the magic
and metaphysics just didn't cut it at all for me.  I truly loved individual
scenes (Roselyn's death for example) but the whole last forty-five minutes
annoyed me much more than pleased.

It too could have done without the flashbacks but they weren't so bad once I
got through to the end.

In general, very disappointed.  Not that I really care... the show was great
and I'll probably watch the OTHER few dozen hours over and over again.  ;^)
