This is the reason we need to MASSIVELY increase the size of the House of Representatives. If we had one rep for every 30K people like they did in 1800 instead of one rep for every 670K people like we do now, there would be TONS of room for other political parties. As it stands now, each party only has to defend a handful of seats in any given election, which makes it easy for two parties to hold onto power. Time to change the rules of the game.
