If you want to see numbers on all physicians, there are plenty of salary
surveys by specialty out there:

http://www.allied-physicians.com/salary_surveys/physician-salaries.htm

http://www.cejkasearch.com/compensation/amga_physician_compensation_survey.htm

http://www.physicianssearch.com/physician/salary2.html

http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos074.htm#earnings

I'd love to see the full MGMA data, but that's $500. The BLS link has a
small slice of it, and what that slice shows is that doctors can make a ton
of money after just a couple of years in practice.
