Hey, sounds like a fine argument for not having gone in there under
false pretenses and doing our damndest to get out of a bad situation
now. Which is what I, and people you tend to be very dismissive of,
have been arguing for, oh, 6 or 7 years now.

Yeah, I know. Go Army, eh? Sounds like a brilliant way to have people
out there supposedly trying to win the "hearts and minds" battle.
Honestly Bruce, I don't blame you. You're in a fucked up situation.
But it isn't helping anyone. Not you, not America, not Iraq, not the
nebulous cause of "democracy and freedom".

Get out of there as fast as you can, go find that happy peaceful Bruce
and enjoy your life man. In the meantime, try to keep your head down
and remember that everyone out there is a human being. Hard to have
perspective, I know, and I'm not saying that I'd do better given the
situation. Just keep your soul intact the best you can.
