It is very sad, but unfortunately it is a part of their male dominated culture. Of course, they brought that culture with them to the States.
It is questionable that these children, and they ARE just children, really understood what they were doing, and all the repercussions and consequences for themselves and the girl. I wonder if people will be more willing to donate to the numerous agencies and pressure the UN to increase education and support programs to stop these behaviours and to assert human rights in countries in Africa, the middle east and elsewhere that women are subjugated due to cultural or religious beliefs. And let us not forget that America has it's own form of this behaviour where Religious Leaders have multiple wives, extended communities and sex with young girls including their daughters.
