In their own way they already have it - not the UK, of course - but France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland ... they all have their own brand. And, at the end of the day there's no magic bullet for every country - each culture will need to find their own unique system. Consider France which doesn't have a single-payer system. It's been that way since WWII, but their costs are sky-rocketing too and they'll need to find a solution. Given their history, they'll likely select a more socialized method, but it's no secret that France has been looking to the US for ideas! It really just comes down to cost controls, regulation, and process design and there's no right way to do those, but there's a LOT of wrong ways. Singapore, for example, seems to have found a great solution for them but the west ... we've got work to do. Anyway, I know you're not a fan of consumer driven healthcare, but it's the only option: regulate the markets and let competition lower the costs. The other options all end with bankruptcy. Which won't keep anyone healthy btw. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
