Thus far I've been disappointed in my inability to see her live. She came through last year with Emmylou Harris and Patty Griffin on the 3 Girls and their Buddy tour but I was dead broke.
I really wanted to see her in the The Big Surprise tour with Old Crow Medicine Show, Justin Townes Earle and The Felice Brothers but that tour never hit the west coast, alas. That was a fine line up indeed. And yes, Elvis Presley Blues is a brilliant song. If you haven't listened to it, find a download of a live show that Gillian/David Rawlings did with Greg Brown, Bo Ramsey and Ani Difranco. They had a lot of fun together, like one artist would announce a "theme" for the next round of songs and then each of the 3 sets of performers would try and do a song on that theme. Really nice listen. If you can't find it to download, give me a holler and I'll try to put it up somewhere for download.
