I am 99.998% percent this is an impractical suggestion, but any chance
you if the slightest inkling of moving? To Sacramento California perchance?

I only ask because my son is in a charter school here and they are
opening a brand new high school next year. Small class size (they are
looking for 15 students per grade level to start out). Next year will
be 7th, 8th and 9th. The year after that will add the 10th grade and so
on. Either next year or the year after the 7th and 8th grades will
return the current K-8th campus.

It is a great school with superb teachers that the charter give the
school direct hiring and firing decisions over. It is a public school,
but one has to apply and be accepted into the program. Audition, essay
by student, essay by parents, application, letters of recommendations.
Parents are required to do 30 hours of support at the school, students
15 per year.

I only mention this as apparently is illegal for the school to advertise
so we parents are the only ones allow to recruit. If anybody know of
any parents with students in Sacramento looking for a great school.
Drop me a note.

I'll let your thread get back to useful discussion to your issues now.
