Yes, and the state school board is laymen. My point is that ID may not have made it into the curriculum to begin with had anyone bothered to show up in opposition to it. The scientific part of ID theory doesn't try to prove ID. It tries to DISPROVE the idea that life as we know it is possible without a guiding hand. And, unless you buy the idea of parts of a cell joining together for no reason to create complex biological machinery (too far fetched for me to believe) does so successfully. The rest, admittedly, belongs in religion class, not biology.
Personally I feel that in an unbiased evaluation of the facts available a rational person would conclude that there is definitely a design to life as we know it and design implies intelligence. Unfortunately I've never met someone capable of an unbiased evaluation of those facts, myself included. Scientists generally start with the assumption that there is no God and those of use who believe there is start with the assumption that he created us. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
