Each has their own uses.

Access is great for small data driven apps that do not need to be scalable.

With experience, it is easy and quick to build the app.  Like all systems,
gaining the experience takes time.


Coldfusion would be overkill and not necessary quicker.  The server would
need to be installed.  A real database would have to be installed (unless
you want to use access -*shudder*).   Features like security and user
management may or may not be necessary.
