Still insulting content, not person. Saying the comments are dumb is not the same as saying he is bigot. Later in the conversation someone referred to him as an idiot. That is an attack, but it came after his attacks on others, including referring to them as idiots first. Revisionist history on who posts what is common here. However, I have a gmail archive going back years and much google-foo to find the posts in question.
