Freedom to be an adult?

A child is told to eat his greens. An adult has the right to not eat his
greens if he doesn't want to. If I want to eat some trans-fat, I don't need
a parent to tell me I can't. I can understand smoking as it can effect those
around me but trans-fats only effect me.
Yes, I want to be informed about what I'm eating but once I know I should
have the right to eat what I want.

Prohibition was tried and failed...last time.
