I almost sunk once! The little plug at the back of my boat came out while I was on the lake, and my buddy and I were sitting out there shooting the shit when he noticed we were taking on water. There was so much water in the back I couldn't get it to plane out and eventually stalled ... managed to get it started again and found our way to the marina (a couple miles away). Luckily, the lake is not real deep and fairly narrow so death was not in the cards even if the boat had sunk.
