Which is why I used her religion as my example.
Was her religion a major factor in why she was shot? Without any
corroborating evidence, such a conclusion is just commentary, not news. Did
the shooter have an anti-Democrat or anti-Semitic shirt on? Shout slogans of
such a nature? Did he do anything to say why he was shooting at the time of
the shooting? No.
It is only after the fact that information implying his motivations are
found.

News is about facts at the time of reporting.
