" I never claimed that Palin and her drivel did not influence this guy,"
Fair enough. However, logically, the connections are not far fetched given the circumstances. In the recent past there has not been a continuous chanting of violent slogans involving guns, reloading and firing again, crosshairs on targets and that level of discourse from the Democrats. You can cherry pick a few, but it hardly amounts to an overwhelming theme. You have that overwhelming theme from Palin. You have the rally with those armed to the teeth talking about taking back their country. In the recent past analysts and politicians have not been calling for anyone else to tone down their speech, but the GOP, Palin and the Tea Party. In the recent past the repeated warnings have not been aimed at anyone but Palin, the Tea Party and the extremists in the GOP. The congresswoman herself warned about Palin's statements. No one listened... Now she may die or be brain damaged. So you have repeated warnings about possible violence and death resulting from the type of talk coming out of the GOP and their supporters....then a congresswoman on the other side is shot at a public political meeting. I mean...what do you expect people to think? The connection between this attack on the same congresswoman by this madman is not unreasonable. The immediate question that would come to the mind of any rational individual is whether it is connected to the Tea Party, Sarah Palin and by extension the GOP's utterings. What I think is unreasonable is to divorce that type of speech completely from this act of violence. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:333117 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
