Yeah, I think that's the key worry. I've read that Israel is
privately very concerned for 3 reasons:

(1.) If a non-western friendly group takes power in Egypt (i.e.,
arguably the Muslim Brotherhood), and decides to kill this 30 year+
peace deal, it will almost certainly mean war. Again.

(2.) Jordan may also fall, may also get a non-western peace deal
government, putting Israel back to where it started decades ago: in
between 2 major enemies. This really hits home when you look at a
map, and then you realize why the West gave Egypt the Sinai and money
in exchange for peace. It was a win-win. And with Jordan also a
peaceful ally, it's a win-win-win. You can see why the Israelis are
VERY nervous about this.

(3.) Arguably, they are dealing with the most un-Israeli-friendly
American president since Truman which, again, puts them back where
they started in the 50s.

It makes it very clear why both the Bush and Obama administrations
have waffled on Egypt: yes we want democracy everywhere, but risking
losing the mid-east peace agreements is a BIG risk.

And, with a majority of Egyptians polling last year that they want an
Islamic government rather than a democratic one, the risk seems clear
and present.
