I have a friend here I share a few beers with on Saturday's that was in the 11th Airborne that was part of the rescue mission February 23rd 1945. The mission didn't get a lot of press because it was the same time as the flag raising over Iwo Jima.
I think there is something going on soon at the Liberty Memorial (the only WWI memorial in the country) he is involved with. Him and his buddies are a riot to listen to. They still jump too!
