So, you're saying that health care in america is 308 trillion dollar liability? Any numbers to back that up?
I understand that there are outliers in the numbers (like multi-transplant surgeries that can drift into the millions of dollars, which is itself a ludicris figure), but those are outliers. I'm talking about most people. Maybe one or two serious surgeries, routine care, some ER time and perscriptions. I highly doubt that, on a per person basis, most folks would go over a million in healthcare costs in their lifetime. We could up the ante a bit and give each person 10 million for healthcare costs x 400 million people (high estimate) = 4 billion dollars. That is still well less than 4% of the current fiasco. And it should be noted that we wasted that much in entitlements in the time it took me to write this... -----Original Message----- From: Jerry Milo Johnson [mailto:jmi...@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, April 11, 2011 5:05 PM To: cf-community Subject: Re: So Ryan's Budget Proposal ... You really think you can get $308,000,000,000,000 of liability insurance for $1,000,000,000? If so, would you right now give me $308,000 of health insurance for $1? I bet Maureen could use it, too.
