DC has a lot going for it but too difficult to get in and out of. I need to be able to escape out into the woods in a short drive, that's a major requirement for any place I live. I've got some friends from Charlotte that like it there and I've heard that I'd quite like Asheville, sounds a lot like our little college towns here in Oregon. Find me some little places with screaming banjos, good beer and good bbq and I'll be a happy man.
