In fact, look at it this way:

(1.) Let's say the Fair Tax is 20%

(2.) That family of 4 making $50,000/yr is probably living check to
check.  In other words they're spending $50,000/yr and getting hit
with a 20% tax.

(3.) Then there a childless married couple - both attorneys - and
they're making $350,000/yr and they also spend $50,000.  They pay
$10,000 in taxes making their rate effectively 3%.

And, of course, it doesn't matter if you adjust for the poverty line,
food/clothes exemption, etc because the Fair Tax is fair!

Wow.  The look how those tax burdens have completely flip-flopped.

That's not just regressive, it's a poverty make
