Way to go Japan and USA. Good solid football. Japan never gave up and because of it they can call themselves World Cup champions.
USA can certainly hold their heads high though. They played well and had more action in front of goal, unfortunately for them they just couldn't pull it out when they needed to. Overall some quality football. The quality of women's football just keeps getting better, and that's what it needs to draw the majority of the male viewership. There's always going to be people who won't watch women's sports, but for most football fans good football is good football, and worth watching. As an aside, I am totally in love with that blonde midfielder, Rapino (sp?) I think it is. Absolutely amazing drive. She won just about every challenge she made, really moved around the field well and used the open space really efficiently. I loved watching her play.
