Yuck. They described that surgery to me and told me I'd have to have it if my lung kept collapsing further, don't want to put too much pressure in the lower part of the left lung as that can trap the aorta. The roughing up the tissue was described to me as like "patching a bicycle tire". Awesome, eh?
Glad that mine only happened once and that yours has seemed to have stopped happening.
