So you don't ruin someone's party you should tell them "up-front" that you
refuse to play top-40 main stream songs, This includes group dance songs and
club mix songs. Tell them that you will not take request and that you have a
library of songs that you feel are best suited for their taste (rather they
have heard them or not).

I bet the phone will ring off the hook with job offers!
