Cameron,

Don't listen to them... If you don't play what they want to hear you won't
get hired back. It's just like any job, you are being hired to do a specific
task, they are the client and they will want to hear those songs. First
request will most likely be the Cha Cha Slide and you can bet it will come
from one of the adults children and then again later in the evening from one
from one of the Adults... Anyone that you see complaining will be outside
the main group and probably by themselves watching the girls shake their
asses on the dance floor. Latter you will see him watching the "skinny
dorky" guy that was dancing with them leave with the chick!

There are two parts to it. Don't be surprised if you have to play them both
twice.

Don't forget the newer songs too!

Huey - Pop Lock and Drop
Black Eyed Peas - Dirty Bit
The Sugarhill Gang - Apache
ludacris_ft_shawnna-how_low_can_you_go
Cupid Shuffle

Don't forget a few slow songs too... Especially toward the end of the night.

Don't want to miss a Thing
Everything I do (I do it for you)
Lady in Red

Put yourself on a clock wheel rotation. About every 25-30 minutes are so get
ready to que up one of the dance songs. You will keep the party going
without blowing all the dance stuff at once. I usually start out the night
with a few country songs, build from that up to classic rock, new rock, POP
hard Rock (I wanna be a Rock Star), Dance Song, Club song, then back down
Rock song, classic rock, country.... I think you will be surprise of the
diversity and how much music you can get in...

Don't forget MJ!

You can never go wrong with Billy Jean or Thriller... I like to throw in
Dirty Diana and Smooth Criminal now and then too.

Rick
