So the title is Hall of Fame but the criteria are Hall of the Influential. So where are the Jam or the Buzzcocks? Not long enough ago? Are there any punk acts apart from the Clash (excluding the Beastie Boys single album effort for Egg Raid on Mojo). I guess the Sex Pistols made it in, but they were an entirely fabricated thing.
I will be very interested to see over the next few years whether acts like Husker Du make it in. Bob Mould should be in as a solo performer, too. And what about the Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, the Replacements? We'll see.
