And who is going to pay for another "conflict"?

Dammit congress, you and your war profiteers .. I mean, companies with 
defense contracts, might not care, but we are out of money.

So, we start screwing around with Iran.  What is the return on that 
investment?  We have them surrounded, their neighbors would get pretty 
upset if they started nuking things in the area, even if it is us and 
they wouldn't survive a nuclear exchange anyway, and they know it.  Stop 
with the pissing contest.

Indeed we have.  We have learned that the government can make a weak 
attempt to justify acting preemptively and illegally with military 
force, and do whatever they want if that works or not.  Once that 
happens, it is too late to do anything about it and no one is ever held 
accountable.

Maybe we *should* be more like France.
