North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue wont seek second term, sources say ( http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/north-carolina-gov-bev-perdue-wont-seek-second-term-sources-say/2012/01/26/gIQAbwekSQ_blog.html )
North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue (D) is set to announce today that she will not seek reelection in 2012, according to multiple sources familiar with her plans. Perdue, who turned 65 earlier this month, was set for a rematch of her 2008 race with former Charlotte mayor Pat McCrory (R), but she has been plagued by low approval ratings and faced some tough odds this year. The article briefly mentions the campaign finance scandals that have marred her term. What's funny is that in 2008, about 80% of the newspapers in NC endorsed McCrory. When newspapers are endorsing a Republican to this extent, the Democrat has to be a dog. Oh, and her name isn't Perdue. It used to be. J - I never thought this day would happen. . . . I wont have to work on putting gas in my car. I wont have to work at paying my mortgage. You know. If I help him, hes gonna help me. - Peggy Jose ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:345839 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
