Mostly official - i live in an apt in downtown sj and we sold our house in MN, although I'll still be doing some commuting back.
It's nice here since I can mostly work out of my apt and then there's one of our offices just 7 blocks away - Very cool compared to a 45 min commute. Plus I do a lot of work with Cisco so I have space there too and they're just up first st on Tasman. I could take light rail there. Its all very cool! I thought I'd really get homesick but not yet. My wife has it even better with a bus that picks her up 4 blocks away and she can use a free rental at work if needed for errands and such. I had to re-config my whole gym set-up (combining threads), though. I used to have a whole floor and wet bar and now I've got a dinky walk-in closet size room. Here's my new setup for anyone that cares: * Hoist V-6 functional trainer * Ironmaster super bench, DBs, and all the attachments The good news is that it fits totally fine ... A little tight, but overall fine. The bad news is, no more Olympic lifts ( kinda sorta), and none of that "iron bar" feel you get with a power cage and lots a room. I can still find solutions for all the movements, and there's a lot more I can do now even, but so far its definitely a trade-off, but hey it works. Plus I live on the 12th floor so I have a stair stepper :) and there's a pool, but I haven't used it yet. As to trips, I've been to Monterey,Carmel, and pebble beach but not Santa Cruz yet. driving in we came through the Sierra Nevadas on 80 and that was awesome.
