It looks like if we use the apple question, after 2 weeks we'd have like 15,000 apples. Manageable. But after a month we'd have 10 billion. Trouble. The thing with global warming is we're dealing with 2 concepts humans don't get: acceleration and weather. "warming" just means more energy to the climate. Nobody knows if that means more ice here and less there. What we do know is that it'll mean accelerating global climate change. And we know, using the apple example, we're in week one and acceleration is a bitch.
