Drove down to sign the lease on my new place today. It's less than a block from the ocean, and today was sunshine, surfers riding huge waves, great muffins from the bakery just down the block. The drive back was gorgeous - a weird mix of sun, mist and light rain.
The California coast has be one of the most beautiful places in the Universe. I love that I will be spending the rest of my days within minutes of all that majesty. And my commute on the days when I need to go into the studio will be an eight mile drive along the coast with very little traffic and not a single red light or stop sign.
