well there's such a thing as a lease, but the default is 24 hours... I do frequently get that message about being connected but without having internet. Usually (I think) it's an expired lease, or at least, disconnecting and reconnecting does resolve the problem. This is an apartment building that provides wi-fi to residents, so I can't configure the router, but reconnecting once or twice a day isn't that big a deal. But these two times I am talking about, reconnecting multiple times did not fix it. And I did find something on my end. Feels like some well-intentioned process running slightly amok. Or maybe Cam's idea.
