well not directly born republican or democratic,  but neuropsych
differences have been found between self identified conservatives and
liberals. For instance the part of the brain that mainly deals with
processing fear and anxiety related information tends to be larger
among conservatives. In contrast progressives tend to have a larger
and more active anterior cingulate cortex. That part of the brain
deals mainly with complex and nuanced data.

That in part may explain why fear based messages resonate much more
with conservatives and complex and shades of grey cognition is more
attractive to liberals.

Similarly another line of research with personality traits have shown
that liberals tend to score higher on measures of Openness to
Experience while conservatism is positively related to
Conscientiousness. Both of these traits are thought to have large
heritable components.
