You are correct, but, in my opionion, his question was actually pointed at the fact that I thanked you for your service (it was the only line he quoted), which to some *is* a political statement or can be misconstrued as one.
He also asks, because he knows that my husband is running for County Commissioner, therefore entering the political sphere whether I like it or not. I will go beat Gel-ly bean for derailing your excellent thread with a private joke. :) I can assure you that in my mind, politics never entered it.
