I'm not arguing how the animal dies, I'm arguing your point that anyone who
intentionally kills an animal is more likely to have criminal tendancies.
Kill a mouse .. kill a cat .. spray an ant hill or a wasp nest .. whatever.

I prefer not to kill anything,  I find bugs in the house, I put them outside
. even spiders.  I prefer to use non lethal mouse traps as well.  I will
spray wasp nests though .. I don't know how else to get rid of them.  That
doesn't make me a psychopath.

That's my argument.

And Beth, I'm sure a shotgun blast to the head is pretty quick and painless.
It's not pretty and clean like normal euthenization, but ...

Also, many people may not be aware that there is such a service for removing
cats.  I certainly wasn't.  I'm sure many people on this list are also
unaware that there are organizations that will come to your property and
remove entire hornet nests, free of charge, as well.
