Just back from the Pickathon music festival and I had a grand old time. It was hot as hell and dusty but everyone was in good spirits and the music was excellent, morning to very very late at night.
In that spirit, I'm kicking off New Music Tuesday again with a video I took (my first YouTube posting actually). Turns out the Samsung Galaxy SII does a surprisingly good job. Anyway, it's The Wood Brothers performing a new song called Honey Jar. They are at the appropriately named Wood Stage, which is nestled up in the woods on the farm, built in a little ravine on a summer-dry creek bed with an improvised branch canopy and about a thousand people in various parts of the tree-filled natural amphitheater.
