Writing content takes a back seat to writing style for me. If something is well written, I can read it almost regardless of the content. Conversely, even if the subject matter is riveting, if it's poorly written, I'm going to have trouble getting through it.
That's why I can read almost anything Stephen King writes. Some of his stories are kind of stupid or even boring, but I'm always going to enjoy his writing.
