Those were the ones off the top of my head. There's this myth that
medical research only takes place in the US. One thing my wife noticed
when she was working for a medical journal was the increase in
submitted papers from outside the US. Moreover the second part of the
myth, that because of the private insurance system it pays for US
medical research. Hello - the US government pays for it, through the
NIH, NIHM, FDA, HHS, DOA and the Defense Department. That sounds very
much like a socialist approach to me.
