Right, I'm only running pop3 - i tried IMAP in the past and had a lot of probs with it... I was using outlook 2k at the time - and it seemed really clunky - wouldnt update when new mail arrived etc
Have you any recomendations for a good IMAP server and client... also I don't know if my ISP supports IMAP connections (I think not but...) cheers Dan > -----Original Message----- > From: Jochem van Dieten [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: 24 June 2002 12:26 > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: List slow the past few days? > > > Daniel Lancelot wrote: > > <cf_rant> > > This really does my nut... > > > > As I am collecting all my mail on an internal mailserver - the recieved > > datestamp gets reset to the time my mailserver pulls the mail > off the ISP > > mailserver - so I have to sort everything by sent date - and > because some > > people on the list cant / wont set their clocks correctly - its > very hard to > > follow the correct thread order > > Don't let the mailserver collect it.
