Amen. 10 years ago, i was in the "give them civil unions, it's the same thing" camp. Then someone asked me "You mean just like separate, but equal, huh?"
And...i didn't have an answer. Light bulb. Religious views and that most-sacred-of-words, "tradition", should be respected...but they should never be used to deny people their basic rights as free human beings, and a free human beings' most basic need...is love.
