I don't agree with that.

There are lots of rebel groups. Sometimes you pick one and find out they
hate us. I think Libya and maybe Egypt that was the case. But mostly
because we waited too long and al Qaeda like folks grew stronger before we
jumped in. Syria, if what they said on Fox News :) is true still has plenty
of "good" rebels left. So we don't actually arm them or support them. We
just cripple Assad a bit by taking out air power and let the chips fall.
The problem is how Russia and China will react.
