AND the south has inadequate equipment, employees that aren't trained in
road preparation for a storm, and no budget for the rock/sand/salt.

We're doing fine up here Cam :) I didn't see the post - sorry. I've been
working away of course .. no snow day for me.
We've stayed off the roads, other than a quick trip yesterday morning ..
but that was when it was all snow still and coming down.  We also had no
traffic really - since we're in the boonies.

We were supposed to head to Asheville in the morning, but the entire region
is still under a winter weather advisory, black ice on all the roads. As of
this afternoon, this is what some of the local main roads still looked
like:

So overnight, that's going to be nothing but ice. Yay.
