I think that that article described the situation well and concisely. I
know that the House is killing anything that moves and that the Tea Party
will not tolerate any compromises with Democrats. I still expect Democrats
to articulate a positive vision and try and do something. Sitting around
and waiting isn't an option and even if things are going to die in the
House, at least make an effort. Hell, if you don't have to worry about
compromise, why not just write all your grand visions into bills and
proudly push them through the Senate? Yeah, they won't survive the House,
but it isn't like anything that is pre-compromised is going to make it
either. I just don't see a vision from Democrats and that makes it hard for
me to get behind them.
