I have to agree Phil. Having guns on airplanes seems somewhat foolhardy :)
Far better to prevent said loony from getting on the plane in the first place, or failing that, into the cockpit. w -----Original Message----- From: Philip Arnold - ASP [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 11 July 2002 16:13 To: CF-Community Subject: RE: House OKs Bill to Arm Airline Pilots > http://apnews1.iwon.com/article/20020710/D7KM9V600.html > > Discuss. > > I'm all for it, personally. All I have to say on this is that someone hasn't thought this through... What happens if a loony comes into the cockpit and threatens the pilots, the pilot pulls out the gun, the loony continues to advance... BANG... The bullet misses the loony and punctures the cockpit, the plane decompresses causing the plane to crash... They kill a whole plane full of people rather than being taken to another country INSANE!
